How to Use Contact Groups in Gmail

To email a contact group, you can enter the group name into the "To" field of an email message, instead of listing each individual separately. This is useful when you need to email a specific group of people frequently.

 


How to Create a Contact Group in Gmail

1Log in to your Biola Gmail. 
2Click on the Mail menu in the upper left corner, and select Contacts.
3Click on New Group... in the list on the left.
4Enter a name for the new contact group, then click OK.
5To find the new contact group, click the arrow under My Contacts in the list on the left.

 


How to Add a Single User to a Contact Group

1Click on the contact group to which you will be adding users.

Click the    button, and start typing the user's name.

You will see a list of suggested users.

Select the correct user, then click Add.

The user will now appear in the contact group.

 


How to Add Multiple Users to a Contact Group

1Open a list of contacts from the menu on the left.
2Check the box for each user that you wish to add to the group.
3Click the    button.
4Check the box for the contact group you will be adding users to.

Click Apply.

The selected users will now appear in the specified contact group.
